Cowboy Dressage Lessons |
|
Have you wanted to try dressage, but were reluctant to give up your western saddle? We have been teaching dressage principles to riders of all disciplines who desire to improve their seat and communication with their horse, long before the invention of the term “Cowboy Dressage”.
Cowboy dressage is about improving your horse’s self carriage, balance and harmony, while using the equipment you have come to rely on. Dressage offers great gymnastic conditioning for all riding disciplines.
The Western Dressage Association of America was founded in 2010 “to build an equine community that combines the Western traditions of horse and rider with Classical Dressage.” For more information on the Western Dressage Horse Association of America go to: http://www.westerndressageassociation.org/
Want to be the first of your friends to give it a try? Private lessons are $45 on your horse, $55 on ours (experienced riders only).

Questions/Answers:
Q: Is Cowboy Dressage the same as Reining? A: No, Cowboy Dressage focuses more on the bending and self carriage and includes classical dressage movements like leg yielding rather than slides.
Q: Can I use my regular western equipment? A: Yes! We may recommend some changes to tack, but it will be Western and not English. |
